  • Keynotes from Dr Beyhan de Jong, Associate Analyst - Animal Protein, RaboResearch Food and Agribusiness who presented on “Factors of change in the global aquaculture industry” and conference chairman Langley Gace, Senior Vice President, InnovaSea Systems, Inc who set the scene for the conference on “High energy open ocean aquaculture. Its history and its future”;
  • Gunnar Thordarson, Consultant - Implementation & Impact, Matis talking about Iceland‘s experience of maximising utilisation of cod , which has quadrupled their value over the past 10 years;
  • Yannis Papadopoulos, Partner, Corfu Sea Farm, who also hosted the conference technical visit; and,
  • The importance of site selection and feed management for ensuring optimal production performance and survival presented by Patrick White, Senior Aquaculture Consultant, Akvaplan-Niva.
