PhD in Oceanography, Environment and Ecology Department
DHI Water & Environment (S) Pte Ltd
Dr. Aurore Trottet has more than 15 years of experience as environmental scientist. She has developed her expertise in sustainable management of aquatic environments (marine and freshwater) and worked in both research and consultancy in Canada, France, Vietnam and Singapore on a diverse range of projects that include environmental impact assessments, coastal zone management, water quality assessment, risk assessment, harmful algal blooms, and due diligence project in aquaculture.
Dr Trottet’s involvement in aquaculture started during her PhD in Canada when she was working on a carrying capacity project to increase mussel aquaculture production. This project involved both experimental design and long term in situ monitoring to determine the impact of aquaculture on the water column. This experience was followed with two post-doctoral projects related to anthropic impact on water quality: one in Southern France on the impact of river flood and one in Halong Bay (Vietnam) related to black carbon impact.
Since joining DHI, Dr Trottet is a Senior Ecological Scientist, where she works closely with clients on challenging water-related issues (e.g. eutrophication, Harmful Algae Blooms, land reclamation, pollution, desalination plans). Over the last 6 years, she has worked and managed projects related to aquaculture, ecology, toxicology, and environmental impact assessment.
