As an International Non-Profit Association based in Ostend, Belgium, the European Aquaculture Society (EAS) brings together stakeholders for the sustainable development of aquaculture in Europe.
EAS has more than 600 members in 40 countries and provides information and contacts to them through its publications and networking services.
The annual “Aquaculture Europe” events bring together science and industry in a forum that comprises a scientific conference and international trade show, with satellite workshops for various European initiatives. Close to 1000 delegates attended the last two events in Portugal and Greece.
EAS has supported the Offshore Mariculture events since 2006, believing these to be valuable platforms for discussion and debate on how the future of offshore aquaculture can be furthered.
