Pacifico Aquauculture’s striped bass are recognised for their quality

Pacifico Aquaculture have confirmed to speak at the Offshore Mariculture conference 2017.

The Striped Bass producer will speak alongside other finfish producers based in the area in a session on Baja California’s mariculture as it stands and their presentation will provide delegates with in-depth information about their journey to provide sustainably raised offshore fish.

The company, located 8 miles off the coast of Ensenada, offers the world’s only ocean raised striped bass from the pacific coast of Mexico. Their fish is raised in one of the best locations in the world for responsible marine aquaculture; offering clear, clean and deep oceanic waters with strong currents and excellent protection from the elements.

Pacifico Aquaculture is the first and only marine finfish company in Mexico to obtain the certificate for Best Aquaculture Practices from the Mexican Aquaculture Safety and Health Commission. The striped bass they produce can be enjoyed raw as sashimi or sushi due to its sweet, mild flavour and firm texture that is prized by chefs in California.

Pacifico state that their philosophy is ‘to build a business that will feed the world with sustainable seafood for today and the future… while creating a neutral impact on the ocean environment and a positive impact on world fisheries’.

The 7th offshore mariculture conference will take place in Ensenada, Baja California on the 6-10 March next year. Stay tuned for further programme updates which will be released at the end of the month. Booking is now open with a limited discount of 15% for all places booked before December 31st.
