The airport is about 20 kilometres away from Dubrovnik and on arrival, bus transport – both by public bus (www.libertasdubrovnik.hr) and by airport shuttle service (www.atlas-croatia.com) - to Dubrovnik is organised for each regular flight, these stop at the Old Town gates, 100 metres from the Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik hotel. Taxis are available all day and take around 20 minutes, the price of each trip from Dubrovnik Airport to Dubrovnik is between 200 and 235 kunas.
Car hire companies represented at the airport include: Avis, Budget, Dollar, Hertz and Sixt.
Dubrovnik has excellent boat connections to other Croatian harbours and to Bari Harbour in Italy and has daily boat lines to the nearby islands (Koločep, Lopud, Šipan and Mljet, and seasonal lines to Korčula and Lastovo). Gruž Harbour is 2 kilometres from the Old City, about 20 minutes walk from the harbour. Buses no. 1a, 1b and 8 will take you there in about ten minutes. The bus ticket, which you purchase on the bus, is 10 kunas, but it can also be bought at news-stands at the price of 8 kunas. The taxi stand is in close vicinity to the harbour and the fare to the Old City costs about 70 kunas.
