Call for Papers
The Call for Papers for the 4th Offshore Mariculture Conference has now been released.
Abstracts are invited on the following topics:
Overview of the latest developments in aquaculture
Growing the wealth of aquaculture: perspectives and potential
Food security, climate change and aquaculture
Doing business offshore:
International, regional and national legislations, policies, strategies and plans for sustainable mariculture
Codes of practice for allocation of zones for offshore fish farming
The business case including risk assessment, economic implications of going offshore, profitability
Industry perspective on enhancing economic conditions for offshore investments
Route to market/marketing and consumer demand/branding/eco-labelling can “offshore” products be differentiated in the market?
The financial implications of farming individual (high value) species or multiple species in integrated systems
Best practices in offshore aquaculture development
Best choices of species for offshore fish farming
Sustainability of bluefin tuna or other capture based aquaculture
Management and husbandry:
Developing (remote) management systems to enable all year farming in harsh sea conditions
Health management issues (standards, certification, schemes, etc.)
Codes of practice for husbandry and safety, farm security and data links
Sustainable feeding strategies covering trends, nutrition, formulation and optimized feed production

Case studies from producers wherever possible/applicable will be given preference and abstracts from academia/research should include the application of research and/or transfer of knowledge.
